Brian Mead (1983) was born and raised in the cornfields of Illinois. As a gift on his second Christmas, he received a Little Tikes tool table, in which he converted instantly to a crayon filled drafting table. In 1986, when asked by his preschool teacher what he wanted to be when he grew up, he told her "a world famous artist". Graduating from the Chicago Academy for the Arts in 2002 and the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2006, Brian now resides in Baltimore, Maryland working as a freelance illustrator, designer and as co-founder of The Black Box Project, an animation and film production studio with fellow illustrators and ambitious creative types, Daniel Krall, Mike Moore, Brian Ralph and Eduardo Lino-Costa. |
